Giving“A tithe of everything
belongs to the Lord;
it is holy to the Lord”
Leviticus 27:30
At Shore Christian Church we practice tithing and giving offerings for the support of Christ’s Body, the church, as God has commanded in Malachi 3:10.
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” — Malachi 3:10 NIV
We recognize that tithing 10% of our income is the biblical standard.
The giving of tithes, and offerings above the tithe, is a form of worship and an expression of love and obedience by the giver to the Lord. We believe our church people love to give to God to support the work of the church and we embrace the highest biblical standards of honesty, integrity, and biblical stewardship in managing that giving.
