SCC Picnic, Saturday, August 30 at Allaire State Park

Our SCC Family Picnic will be held at the Allaire State Park from 11:00 am til 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 30th. This is going to be a great time of fellowship, softball, entertainment, games, and food. Bring your picnic lunch and invite your friends to join you!

SCC Worship Team at Holy Grounds Coffee Shop, Friday, July 25

The SCC Worship Team will be performing at Holy Grounds Coffee Shop, on Route 9 in Howell, on Friday, July 25 at 8:00 pm. Please bring your family and friends to share in this awesome time, with music, gourmet coffee, and desserts!

Men’s Breakfast on Saturday, July 26

Join us for a time of spectacular food and fellowship at our Men’s Breakfast on Saturday, July 26. Breakfast will be served at 9 am at the Corbo’s home. Please sign up in the lobby and get directions to the Corbo’s residence. The cost is $10 per person.

Vacation Bible School - August 25 through 29

Vacation Bible School is the perfect way to prepare your children for their return to school this September. The 2008 theme will be "Power Lab: Discovering Jesus’ Miraculous Power." Your kids will have fun with science-themed surprises, activities, and daily challenges that open young hearts to Jesus.

First Annual SCC Golf Outing on Monday, October 6th

SCC is organizing its first annual Golf Outing for Monday, October 6. This event will be a great time for fellowship and an oportunity to invite friends and coworkers to an SCC gathering. If you or someone you know would be interested in joining us, please sign up after service at the information table in the lobby.

Breakfast and lunch will be served at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course. There will be contests, raffles, prizes and awards following an exciting round of golf.

Hallelujah Acres - Biblical Nutritition 101 Course - Free

Rev. George Malkmus, Founder of Hallelujah Acres, taught a 12-lesson course in his home church titled: Biblical Nutrition 101.

Thirty-two adult members of the church completed the course and adopted its teachings. As a result, the group reported the following improvements in their health:

- Total weight loss - over seven hundred pounds.

- One individual reported an 85 pound weight loss, the elimination of his gout and high blood pressure problems.

- One lady reported being able to go off 12 different medications.

- A type 1 diabetic lost 40 pounds and was able to reduce injected insulin from 120 units to 30 units a day.

- Most reported an increase in energy and the elimination of mental fog, and many other physical problems.

The course consists of twelve lessons, with the Bible as its foundation.

We will be doing these 12 lessons in 6 evening sessions... twice a month, from 7 to 9 pm in the bookstore lounge, beginning in May. For more information, please contact Mary Leonforte or May Ann Gower.

Life Together Groups Now Active

Our "Life Together Groups" are small home groups that meet every few weeks in different homes, and provide an outstanding time of learning, sharing, and fellowship with others within your church family. Signup sheets are located in the SCC lobby. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity! Share Your Testimony!

Dear Shore Christian Center Members,

Do you have a testimony? We would love to hear about it. There’s no better way to bring glory to our Lord than by testifying to the awesome works He has done. Has He healed you, delivered you, protected you, brought favor, blessing and provision into your life? Has He answered your prayers to bring healing, blessing, hope, and salvation to others you have been praying for? Please don’t keep it a secret. Share the good news and watch the marvelous effect it will have as God will use your testimony to bless and encourage others, to give them hope and to draw them closer to Him.

Here’s how you can share your good news. Just pen a note highlighting how God and/or His church have worked in your life and get it to the church office attention to Rick & Sandi Hankins. We will read your testimony and may choose to use it as an example of God’s work in one of our services, or we may call upon you to present it yourself. Let everyone know what our awesome God has done for you. It will bless you, edify others, and honor Him.
